Janet sent a nice pic of her G-kids taken during a celebration of Joey's Earthly Existence.  Nice cake, too!

Everything below this line is pretty out of date.  The tomato plant produced a bunch more fruits before the hanging bag gave out.  The lily did not last that long; but it was great while it lasted!  They are about $9.00 a stem now a days.

Mom and Dad were out Saturday.  Mom brought me one of her nice big lilies and Dad brought me a quart of homemade potato soup.  Ate the soup; photographed the lily. . .

Still our only home-grown tomato--lots of blossoms, though.

My only grand niece, Kalista Kay, is now ambulatory!!!

V  More graduating this Spring  V

Melissa's stepson Shayne was valedictorian of his class.  His proud father is show with him here at Oceola Mills High School.

Meliss, Mason the graduate, and Eric

at Clearfield Pre-School

Becky and Ray are both working at Penn U.  They get to enjoy their nice place when they are not at work.   They went out for dinner on their anniversary and enjoyed a couple nice meals, Andy's treat.

The faithful and obedient Molly

They had the heavy snow in the winter as did the rest of us in PA.  I haven't any more recent pictures of their place because I have not been over there for a while.  I am sure the place looks lovely and green.

They have been over here to help trim trees, mow grass, sit with Gram, and generally be good grand-kids pretty regularly.   Thinking of us as grand-kids helps me to feel younger. ; )

The Harley was out this summer.  Becky and Ray rode over on the "Dynaglide" and I was not thinking or I would have taken a new photo.

Melissa II and Skip (Guy II) are out at his farm now.  Did not get to see them the last visit.

<<<< Eric was spotted at Hazen with Melissa and Mason on June 5th.

Uncle Glenn took care of putting Memorial Day flowers on the the Snyder graves out where Gram's folks are buried.

The white azalea down at my house bloomed nicely this Spring. The red one was lovely, too.  It is always earlier.

Mom and Dad's new ride.   ^ ^ ^

Melissa, Mason & MomL are home.  They had nice weather toward the end of their week on the Outer Banks.

Dad still gets visits from his friends Apples, Jonathan and McIntosh.  Not as often now and there is some concern a large predator may be stalking them.

John was here to visit some before and after I visited in Punxsy.  He was BBQing with friend Cory for the holiday.  He visited  here after and helped me uncover the basement access.

Keenan, R.N. is flying down to visit her Dad in Florida for a week.  She leaves on the 4th.

This is her favorite Beach photo from days of yore .  >>>

Sorry Keenan, can't remember the guy's name.

Noel sometimes annoys the heck out of folks; but, he still survives to sing a song once in a while. He has been enjoying the outdoors lately.

Keenan's pinning ceremony

Keenan's pinning ceremony was held Friday evening, May 7th, 2010.  It was a beautiful evening and we all are proud for her achievement.  She will be doing home healthcare for a family down the road whose grandmother also requires 24/7 attention, while waiting for an opening in the department where she wants to do floor nurse work.

That is Keenan in the upper left corner, position #1, among the white-clad graduates.  It was a lovely ceremony.

It was set up so that family members could see and hear well, as well as get a few photos of their graduate.

This is an event that had a lot of shots; so, be patient to see photos of other family on the Eastern side.  Thanks, M. Scott from the West for the camera.  Some of the shots are not too clear--have not learned as much about the camera as I need to.

Diany rode  with Mom and I; Keenan met us in the parking lot.

The people attending the  ceremony were welcomed into the auditorium with very beautiful harp music.  The harpist was the daughter of one of the program administrators.  I understand she plays with the Pittsburgh Symphony.

The harp was a beautiful thing, and it should be.  Those things cost 30 or 40 thousand dollars.

Among the hundreds of different musical instruments humans have ever invented, the harp is the one I always thought I would want to be able to use masterfully.

Girlfriends

It required some patience to sit through the ceremonies for 63 other graduates when our graduate was the first one through.

She had to stand on those risers that whole time.

Below: They lit the traditional flames ala Florence Nightengale's lamp.  No major fires from 64 open flames.

Each graduate was presented with a red rose --Keenan was first.

Then each walked across the stage.

At center stage, each one was "pinned",most were also hugged.

Above: The harpist's mother at the podium, the first graduate on the risers.

THE Actual PIN!

The girls showed up--they were sitting elsewhere because they got there late.  Diany's wonderful friends in attendance for her support and Keenan's.  They are truly priceless.  Wendy was there in Spirit-Hope she is feeling better now.  Mary Lou's husband was in the hospital-hope things are better now.

Alium or Globe flower, a member of the onion family.

Just can't help but smile. It is good to enjoy life and feel the positive as intensely as the rest.

"Favorite"???? instructor.

Terry, Keenan, Ronny

Uncle Scott, Mimi and other cousins out west did not make it to the ceremony.  Check out "The Western picture gallery" for news of those guys.
